Bengaluru-based manufacturing and sourcing platform factori.com has appointed Devaprasad H S, Regional Chairman of the Southern Regional Committee of the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), as a Director on its board. Announced on October 7, 2026, the appointment marks a significant step in the company’s preparations for a proposed public listing in 2028. With the appointment taking effect immediately, Devaprasad will lead the company’s accounts, financial controls and compliance functions as it begins strengthening its governance framework ahead of a potential IPO.
Devaprasad brings 26 years of experience at Proline India, a Batra Group company, where he served as President and Chief Financial Officer. His career in branded sportswear has given him experience in financial management, manufacturing operations, corporate governance and compliance. Alongside his executive experience, he serves as the Regional Chairman of CMAI’s Southern Regional Committee and is part of the association’s national Managing Committee.
In his new role, Devaprasad will oversee key areas of IPO preparation, including aligning historical financial statements with listing requirements, strengthening internal financial controls, reviewing related-party transactions and revenue-recognition policies, and establishing the audit and risk committee structures expected of a listed company. The appointment reflects factori.com’s approach of beginning its listing preparations well in advance, allowing time to identify gaps, improve reporting processes and establish the financial discipline needed to operate as a publicly listed business.
Operated by Sushine Exports Private Limited, factori.com has developed a manufacturing and sourcing network spanning 64 product categories and more than 600 manufacturing partners. The company ships products to over 130 countries and operates a 1.5-acre fulfilment centre in Bengaluru. Its institutional customers include the Indian Navy, ISRO, Samsung, Decathlon and Amazon. The business focuses on manufacturing and supplying apparel, uniforms and corporate goods to organisations.
In August 2026, factori.com expanded its operations by opening its infrastructure to individual entrepreneurs through retailing.factori.com. The platform enables sellers to establish independent online stores using their own domains and brands, with access to more than 10,000 ready-to-ship products, integrated payment facilities and fulfilment support. Sellers can start without purchasing inventory upfront, and the platform states that it charges no commission on their sales. This expansion allows factori.com to serve both institutional buyers through its manufacturing operations and individual entrepreneurs through its digital retailing model.
The company reports more than 1,23,000 registered sellers on its retailing platform. However, converting registrations into consistently active stores and sustainable sales remains an important measure of the platform’s long-term performance.
With its proposed 2028 listing, factori.com aims to strengthen the foundations of both its manufacturing and digital commerce businesses. The appointment of an experienced finance and apparel industry executive signals its intention to prioritise financial transparency, compliance and corporate governance as it prepares for its next stage of growth.
